PECAN DATE CACAO FUDGE BALLS!

Whole food simplicity that tastes AMAZING, how bow dah?

What you need:

~medjool dates

~cacao powder

~pecans

Directions:

  1. Put the following in food processor:

  • 2 cups of medjool dates

  • 1 cup of pecans

  • ¼ cup of cacao powder

2. Blend until smooth

3. Roll them up into balls, pop em in the freezer for 30 min and enjoy :)

Living Purely with these ingredients; I don't buy it. BUT HERE'S EXACTLY WHY YOU SHOULD!

Okay so if were being 100% real, dates used to totally freak me out. In fact, all types of dried fruit did. But once I let go of my rules and did the real research, I was able to truly enjoy them and I hope you do as well! So, here's everything you need to know that made me a #TeamMedjoolDates girl.

MEDJOOL DATES- NATURAL SWEETENER! Dates are so savory in flavor that you truly need no artificial sweeteners. Because they are high in NATURAL sugar, they give our bodies energy to keep goin. HIGH IN FIBER! You know what that means, helps in digestion and gets the bowels movin'.

PECANS- Yup, they are considered a fat. But not all fats are created equal! Pecans help lower cholesterol. Pecans are rich in fiber, at this rate- your bowels are feeling #blessed. Pecans support cardiovascular system and contain oleic acid that have been linked to prevent breast cancer. High in magnesium, pecans are known for their anti-inflammatory benefits.

CACAO POWDER- I always felt cool pronouncing “coco” as “ca-cow”. IDK, don’t ask. Cacao powder contains 40 TIMES the antioxidants of blueberries. It is the HIGHEST plant-based source of iron. Colbs, you’re actin like I should know why iron is important… NO, I’ll tell you EXACTLY why iron is important. Iron produces a protein that our bodies NEED, called hemoglobin.
